Starscribe has one active production format. A definition names one exact word, empty letter slots show its length, and the child taps keyboard letters to uncover every matching position. Correct letters reveal part of the spelling; an incorrect letter uses one of the round's remaining chances. Across Levels 1-85, the opening support disappears, words and definitions become less familiar, spelling patterns become harder to infer, and the allowance for wrong letter classes falls from eight to four.

Track a longer spelling with fewer chances
At Level 31, INFLUENCE has nine positions and six wrong-letter chances. The captured state shows I, N, and another matching N revealed while Z has used one chance.
Infer an academic word from a precise definition
At Level 46, the definition describes dangerous cold exposure. HYPOTHERMIA spans eleven positions, starts blank, and allows five wrong letters; the partial state shows H and Y placed throughout the word.
Show the Advanced Challenge upper bound
At Level 85, ASTROPHYSICAL has thirteen positions, no opening letters, and four wrong-letter chances. This is the progression ceiling, not the guide's featured example.
